  4.  @maryhamric  I’ve attended Seminary. I’m not misinformed. Maybe you’re simply uninformed? Exodus 21, read it for yourself. According to the doctrine, God made slavery permissible by his own laws. Go read it. And maybe re-read the Noah flood story. God was so angry at his own creation, that he drowned almost everyone…which included pregnant women, and babies. So no, may statements were not false, patently or otherwise.

Probably because your beliefs make you dishonest. I didn’t say there is a command by God to enslave people. What I said was God made slavery permissible by his own laws. And beating slaves was also lawfully permitted, according to what is says in the Bible, both in Exodus and in Leviticus. Maybe read your Bible. But yes, God did command neighboring tribes be slaughtered, the men, women, and boys. But he did also command the virgin gives be takes as slaves. So, you’re wrong about that too. And yes, in the Noah’s flood story, God was angry at his own failure. So angry, he drowned babies. According to the doctrine of the Bible. And that is who you worship. What you’re doing is dodging the real argument here, and getting pedantic over a definition you don’t understand. Are you denying that, according to Exodus 21, God made slavery permissible by his own laws? Are you deny that, according to the Bible’s flood story, God drowned people, including babies? See, you can’t even honestly address the facts.
