  1. To me, it doesn’t matter so much whether it was natural, intentional, or accidental. What really matters is that Trump dismantled the infectious disease emergency response team in 2018. Despite having been officially warned at least six times of the risks, he dismantled the team responsible for assessing risks, and ensuring a plan was available, as well as PPE, etc. The only honest answer is “we don’t know”. That may never change. We do know Trump left our guard down, and a lot of people died because of it.
