What is spirituality? How would you define it? Is there an imagined supernatural element? Why not humanism and science?

@edmaphis9805 I’d that your way of telling us you don’t understand what either of those are?
4
@edmaphis9805 You’re just confirming you don’t understand either. Science happens to be our most reliable method to measure reality. I rather enjoy mocking the idea of someone using a science based computer device, over a science based internet, and still attempting to suggest science is unreliable. Challenge: Name a method of measuring reality more reliable than science.

@edmaphis9805 You clearly have no idea what science is, or how it works. Do you suppose engineering can explain the scientific theory of evolution? Maybe you should sober up and use more reliable methods to inform your epistemology. Can you name a more reliable method for measuring reality?
3
@edmaphis9805 There you go, demonstrating even further that you don’t understand science. Name a method of measuring reality more reliable than science. You can’t. Why do you suppose that is? Are you not using a realized science based computer device over a science based internet to argue that science is unreliable?

@acslater017 What is spirituality? How would you define it? And if most people definite it differently, why use that word? I’m aware of the benefits of psychedelics. I don’t know why that is called spiritualism, especially if it is really science.

@patrickriarchy1976 The Chinese tried what? People need to believe things that aren’t true to tolerate reality? I know a lot of people that don’t. But why not believe in things that are demonstrably more reliable?

When we say religion poisons everything…. It is because religion poisons everything.

@edmaphis9805 You’re using science to argue against science. And, you’re not aware engineering is a branch of science? Come on now. Do better.

@acslater017 I can do all f those things without considering it spiritual, especially because you can describe those things specifically without using the word. The problem with the word is the baggage it includes. It doesn’t make sense to take back a word that really has no specific meaning and often implies a supernatural elect for most people, even if it doesn’t for you. If our purpose is to live life, then what meaning is there to be discovered?
1
@acslater017 One that applies. Do,you suppose the majority of people using the word spiritual includes using psychedelics?
1
@patrickriarchy1976 First, I don’t expect people to stop believing anything. This isn’t about my expectations whatsoever. And nobody is suggesting abolishing anything. Don’t start making nonsense claims about mental illness being related to atheism, it’s just a lie. And your claim that the vast majority can’t live without religion is like saying the majority cannot live without being lied to. It doesn’t add up. Oh, these things are complicated? Wow. No kidding? So, do you believe in magic? And why?

@gatewaytobeing People have personal relationships with imaginary beings? Is that possible, or is that delusional? Sorry, it doesn’t really clarify anything. If someone doesn’t believe In a god, creator, they cannot be spiritual?
