Shouldn’t the parents speak for themselves whether or not they utilize faith? I don’t practice faith, I wouldn’t use it personally.

@Youhitme Ah, see….you were being dishonest. You did attack me because me because I stated I don’t use faith. I simply asked the OP why he felt he could speak for others. I only added the fact that I don’t utilize faith to show not everyone does. It seems you’re being defensive (and dishonest) likely because you depend on faith. If you’re honest enough to admit it, I’d question you too. Why are you questioning my motivations for questioning faith?

@Youhitme Also, I am not questioning someone’s beliefs just because they are different then mine. They may be different, but my asking questions shouldn’t be an issue, if you’re honest and decent. Something you apparently struggle with. So what does faith mean to you? It seems to me, faith means believing whatever you want. Faith is just the excuse people use when they don’t have good reason, or evidence.

@Youhitme Faith means different things to different people, which is why I asked what it means to you. And I have already answered this…to me, it seems like faith is the excuse people use when they don’t have good reason or evidence. The Bible says faith is a replacement for evidence. Which works if you don’t care whether the belief you’re putting faith in is true. (Don’t ignore this part:) Which is why Muslims, Mormons, and Hindus can all use faith. It simply isn’t a pathway to truth. But none of this is relevant as to why the OP felt he could speak for others.

Let me explain why a historical Jesus isn’t the Jesus you believe in. Clark Kent may have existed as a human being. Unless he was bullet proof and could fly, it’s a rather mundane claim. So are you arguing for a human Jesus, or a Supernatural Jesus?

Consider…how many historians that were non-believers have been convinced of the supernatural by historical evidence? Maybe none.

@Youhitme I asked a question. I asked whether the parents should speak for themselves as to whether or not they used faith. I simply pointed out that I wouldn’t use faith myself as it is unreliable. It wasn’t hateful, or violent. You were obviously triggered to attack me with your hate, and never question the OP. You don’t seem capable of honest dialog. At least try to be honest.

@Youhitme If faith is simply beliefs, why call it faith? It seems faith is more of a replacement or sort of false evidence in order to make a conclusion that isn’t warranted. You’re still dishonest, because I didn’t attack anyone. You did and still are, trying to attack me. And you’re doing so because I reject the idea that faith is a good thing, and probably because I don’t accept your god claims. Remember, just because you have faith in something doesn’t mean it’s true. If you have to use faith to reach the conclusion, the conclusion is likely to be false. If you have evidence, you don’t need faith. If you need faith, you don’t have evidence. Remember, just because people believe Vishnu exists, doesn’t mean Vishnu exists. The same applies for every god claim. I sincerely hope you stop attacking people based on your religious bigotry. And again, I simply inquired to the OP why he could speak for others. Not everyone depends upon faith.

You just went into attack mode and still are. And you can’t even respond intelligently to the fact that “faith” permits people to believe whatever they like, even if it is false. @Youhitme If you want to give it a rest, do so. If you want honest conversation, you’re way behind. Nobody said it was a crime. And don’t for a moment think you can convince me that some faith based beliefs don’t cause harm. You’d be demonstrably wrong. Though, all I said was that it wasn’t his place to speak on behalf of those people. That be no means is a philosophical argument about the way people grieve. But you have a shown a pattern of dishonest comments. And you felt the need to attack me because I called out faith for what it is. Can you believe in what you want without attacking me for two days? You may not have removed comments, but they have been removed.
