Are you aware, your “gospels” have anonymous authors? What you believe is nothing more than hearsay with no evidence.

@mikewagner1614 The anonymity of the authors is widely known and accepted by historians. I have a preference for holding true beliefs, and not holding false beliefs. Are you aware we don’t have originals for such texts? And we cannot account for what edits were done between the originals and the copies we have, or how many edits were made.

It seems you’ve swallowed much apologetics, however, we do indeed find many variations. We find many variations in the copies we do have. We can’t account for variations in copies we don’t have. It isn’t shocking we don’t have the original texts. What is shocking is that you waive this off as if it doesn’t matter.

@mikewagner1614 First, we’re not friends, so please don’t pretend we are. It’s dishonest. We can have friendly dialog, of course. Yes, I have read the entire Bible multiple times. Indeed, I have attended Seminary, I’m familiar with what the claims are. I reject that there are valid or relevant prophecies in the Bible. So no, the prophecy your refer to isn’t convincing. You can pray all you like. However, prayers works are about the same rate as chance. Now, it would benefit you to understand better how reality works, and how we accurately measure it.

@mikewagner1614 Their rejection may not invalidate the prophecy, but my rejection doesn’t accept that prophecy claim. Prophecies have to be very specific, and writings of one as a historical narrative isn’t sufficient.

@mikewagner1614 You’re aware Moses is a fictional character, right? And you don’t have evidence of someone rising from the dead either. Right? You have claims, but certainly no evidence that warrants belief. The belief comes before the evidence, right?

And no, I’m not in error. No, Moses was not a historical figure. No, archeological support for magic does not grow stronger every day. You’re convinced by hearsay and magic. I am not. Instead of swallowing your indoctrination, why not investigate?

@mikewagner1614 Anonymous authors are still hearsay. And when they make mundane claims, it matters not. When they make supernatural claims, their hearsay is insufficient.

@mikewagner1614 You ask me whether it is possible that investigation has brought you here, as opposed to indoctrination. Perhaps, but if they were true….I doubt you’d be asking. If, however, honest sincere investigation in pursuit of truth is your endeavor, may I recommend a YouTube channel called Paulogia? You put far too much credit into the claims of the religion, and not enough into actual historical facts. Otherwise, you’d already know the Exodus story is a myth, as is the garden of Eden fist sin story. Resurrection can’t be concluded through historical methods, since you can’t demonstrate any supernatural claims. I challenge you to be honest.
