Despite some of the founders having some beliefs, religion was excluded with intention. Some of the early drafts included religious verbiage, which was intentionally stripped away. Also, the God of the Bible endorsed slavery as permissible by the law of that god. So, if you want to bring up slavery and revising history, you should be prepared.

Attempting to pursue a case that fails will only serve to protect that phrase, and would go against our position. In time, it may be removed.
