  4.  @I_Am_Monad  Read Exodus 21 and Leviticus 25. Exodus 21 are the laws of god. It is permitted by the laws of the god of the Bible to own people as property. It is permitted to beat these people as well. It does indeed set some boundaries, but the boundaries are within the permit of owning other people as property. It even allows for passing these slaves down as an Inheritance. I am better aware of what it says than you are, clearly.

  5.  @I_Am_Monad  The religion isn’t there. The “creator” could very well be the universe or nature. In fact, the only mention of religion is in the First Amendment where religion is mentioned twice…both times are exclusionary. Once to prevent the state from interfering with religion. The other is to prevent religion from interfering with the state. These two clauses form the separation of church and state. Not once is Christianity, Christ, or Jesus ever mentioned. You’ve been lied to. Maybe go,read it for yourself. Also, I recommend reading The Founding Myth by Andrew L. Seidel.

  6.  @I_Am_Monad  If you’re going to get hung up on obvious typos, you’re being insincere. Perhaps because you can’t defend your own position. I recommend Andrew L. Seidel’s book, The Founding Myth. Despite some of the founders having some beliefs, religion was excluded with intention. Some of the early drafts included religious verbiage, which was intentionally stripped away. Also, the God of the Bible endorsed slavery as permissible by the law of that god. So, if you want to bring up slavery and revising history, you should be prepared.

  9.  @I_Am_Monad  It is clear in the First Amendment, the Free Exercise clause, and the Establishment clause are both exclusionary. So, let go ahead and review the First Amendment allowing freedom of religion, and the First Commandment which forbids it. Which one represents what the founding fathers wanted? If you can’t answer this honestly, and directly….you can dismiss yourself from the conversation.

  10.  @I_Am_Monad  And for goodness sakes, I never claimed the founding fathers were atheists. I acknowledged that some were believers to different degrees. You’re being completely dishonest to assert that I am attempting to make them atheists. This is a pattern I find with believers. Dishonest at every turn.
