  1. Boycotting is stupid and leads to nothing. It's worthless. If it even happens, Putin and the situation can just say everyone is satisfied with how current politics work, or at worse can just say russians are lazy and didn't bother showing up for the election. It can be subverted in all sorts of way to make the current government look better and come out morally victorious. The only way to show dissatisfaction is with protest votes, or showing up and nullifying the vote. There needs to be a show of intention whichever way people are going. Boycotts proves nothing in elections. It's handing your voting power on a silver plate to everyone else. It's delegating/deferring your opinion and voice to others.
