  3.  @brazeiar9672 , sadly it appears Republicans in USA seem to prefer to stand on a platform ‘we reduced unemployment by letting 5% of population die’. At least that was the impression a few days ago.

  7.  @LTPottenger , nope, that’s not how it works. If ad is shown, part of the revenue goes to the creator. If video is fully demonetised, neither the creator nor YouTube earn money on it.

  8.  @LTPottenger , I have also seen YouTubers and other people complain about various things. That doesn’t mean those things are true. As per monetisation of COVID-19 content, YouTube had made the rules less strict to allow more of such content to be monetised. Look like Dr. Campbell made the cut.

  9.  @pakde8002 , that was probably the best YouTube could do to limit the amount of clickbait spreading falsehoods just for the money. But yes, it does suck that genuine informative content was hit by this policy as well.

  10. My issues with Chinese statistics is that I have very low confidence in them and in the virus being eradicated in China. What seems to me more likely is that they let a few buses from Wuhan filled with people who they tested at departure just so the press can show that they lockdown and pandemic is over. Meanwhile, they’re now talking about imported cases so that in a week they can report another increase and blame it on US or Japan.
