He’s absolutely right about adults asking him how he pees back when he was a kid. That is so inappropriate. ... *edit: Adults should not as ANY child how they use the restroom! If an adult wants to learn more about intersex anatomy they should seek out articles and other sources. Asking a child how they use their body to pee is and will always be inappropriate! It is NOT a child's job to educate an adult about issues such as a this. It is great if an adult wants to learn more about intersex people but they need to seek out other adult professionals with their questions and reputable sources.

@bigmona2741 asking an intersex child how they pee is inappropriate.... to your comment "urinating is not a sexual inquiry" there are people who are into that kinda thing.

@alim3611 That is NOT a question that an adult should ask a child.

@haleygrace138 There is nothing wrong with wanting to learn more. But adults can seek out educational sources to find answers to their questions. They can ask other adults who are professionals those questions. It is not an intersex or non-intersex child's job to educate an adult on how they use the restroom. This young man said that it made him uncomfortable when adults asked him how he peed when he was a child. Because it was inappropriate.

@DorendaMoniqueClink So then you know that Institutional Review Boards exists for a reason. There are ways to ethically run research projects that involve human subjects. An adult asking ANY child how they pee, no matter if they are intersex or not, is unethical and inappropriate. If an adult is curious, then go look for reputable sources on the topic. Don't ask a kid how they pee. It's also not any child's job (intersex or not) to educate an adult about intersex people overall.

@valentine-br1ok I'm appalled at how many people in this comment section are defending adults who would ask a child how they use the restroom!

@bigmona2741 Oh yes it could be! There are many people who are into that. If both parties are consenting ADULTS and want to engage in that then fine. In this case, even if it is pure curiosity it is NEVER appropriate for an adult to ask a minor how they use the restroom.

@alim3611 Children are still learning social cues. Adults should know better. But they should be taught that asking those kinds of questions is not appropriate. But that's not the issue being discussed here. The young man talked about feeling uncomfortable because adults asked him how he used the restroom as a child.

@SavingPrivateBob Because I left my simple opinion as a comment and then got replies for people who really don't understand why an adult should not ask a child how do they pee.

@Abdalmaus 1. This condition presents itself in many different ways. 2. Yes you can find an educational diagram/photo of examples of how this condition could preset... I found some immediately. Stop making excuses for adults asking intersex CHILDREN how they pee!

@shyyslaughter3875 It is great to be inquisitive and want to learn more. But an adult asking an intersex child (or any child) how they use their body's to use the restroom is not ok. It is not an intersex child's job to educate and adult on that matter. Adults can seek out adult professionals or spend time seeking out articles or other sources to get their questions asked.

@Abdalmaus you can find anatomy photos too. and your comment is on my initial post anyway.
