@spikeshartell4675 it's not the fallout alone, it's the massive amount of wooden slums that surround the cities and that the majority of the year is very dry. The ash of the actual cities and surrounding areas a billion people live in is what studies suggest could cause harm. Also, what made you see this video? In the past two days it seems people are watching it again.

@Veylon that assumes it doesn't stop or greatly slow aging, but there is no reason to think we can't build tiny machines to fight that. Evolution managed to fumble into tiny machines that fight that. The second one definitely could. I'm not saying will by any means. But SpaceShip by SpaceX alone has the potential to fundentally change our relationship with space access, and orbital rings or Lastum loops could both drop access to plane ticket levels. If we start mining the moon, we have basically infinite access to aluminum and iron with no environmental impact (reducing costs).

@Veylon not in space it isn't.

@Veylon I mean, that's my exact point of disagreement. If we have a real moon Colony by 2040 (which is easily possible with Starship level launch costs), and mining by 2050, we could absolutely be building space stations en masse by 2075. Colonization happens very slowly then very fast, and it's all based on cost of getting there.
