There is no way for Canada to export LNG on the Atlantic coast. The only exceptions would be Nova Scotia or Newfoundland.

@nebulaone908 As a Canadian More manufacturing capital subsidies More mining subsidies More housing in our cities built densely in existing neighborhoods. Federally coordinated provincial industry policies. There are lots of particular things I'd like to see, but fundamentally we need policy that brings in manufacturing and mining, and lowers the cost of rent/housing without losing the values of existing owners. In particular we need to decouple our economy from the oil sands, although that should not be read as being against the oil sands.

@Itchypantz Yes that rhetoric is exactly why I'm concerned about Poilievre. Many of these industrial credits are useful and needed to compete in the highly subsidized global environment

@cattymajiv Why don't you like heavy industry? It's the basis of any advanced economy? The majority of public mining companies globally are head quartered to Canada, why should we not allow mining? I'll be frank, I don't know how you can agree with my core point of decoupling while being against anything producing exports or manufacturing the goods we use. I'm against Rent Control, which has never been an effective policy, it only protects existing renters at the expense of those looking for a home. I also agree with concerns around logging but largely support the industry. Logging in BC west of the Rockies should be banned but I have no issue cutting Spruce.
