@aakash.sharma Juice is something squeezed from a fruit/vegitable. I think the reality is they should be called "coffees" since they are water strained through nuts and beans.

@cx6847 All cultures being hunters is only true if that includes fishing and gathering Shellfish. Many (maybe most) cultures were historically reliant on sea food. That os of course animal protein but not red meat or the general focus of this video.

@lennonzamora5387 The idea hunter gathers got most of their calories from meat is laughably false. Certainly an important source of protein but not the majority of calories or food.

@dontfit6380 Lactose tolerance is a gene that evolved only 5 thousand years ago in the Ukrainian steppe area, and then spread to Europe, Iran, and North Indian ong with domesticated horses. Asian populations and South indians are generally lactose intolerant, same with Arabs (although goat milk is much more easily digestible, and the common milk in the region). Africans in general are also lactose intolerant, although in east Africa a different version of the lactase gene evolved and spread with bantu migrations, although it isn't quite as effective. Cheese and butter are almost entirely lactise free, contrary to popular belief. Lactose is the sugar, butter is pure fat and cheese has bacteria break the sugar down into Protiens and fat. People historically ate these and not milk itself. Another advantage is they last much longer. Which is why we find "bog cheese" and "bog butter" where people would store it for later use.

@elwood62 Imagine thinking they can't. where do you think food comes from? Adding middle men doesn't add food. I mean, grains sure that's not local. But just about everything else can be.

@jasonito23 gotta mention Nixtamalization when talking corn based diets.

@lennonzamora5387 I actually hate YouTube because you can't post links, but look up Dan Davis. He has an excellent video on the history of food in Europe, it doesn't go into the iceage (because we don't have the evidence to) but it does explore the pre-agricultural hunter gathers. I genuinely think you'll enjoy.

@user-cy9vd7rl4h If you aren't of Indo-European decent (which would include place like north india and iran), you are most likely lactose intolerant. East Africans are the exception and can drink some lactose.
2
@dontfit6380 Why would animals not have been afraid? I mean depends what your defining early man as, but assuming homo sapiens homo erectus was running around with a spear for millions of years. Dan davis just dropped a great video on early diets.

I personally don't take issue with the "killing", it's the living that concers me. Which is why I don't eat pork and avoid chicken or otherthings cage raised. Cheese is really the thing I eat I feel worst about. But Organic eggs and local beef I don't think have a moral dilemma, given the amount of nutrition per death and the life the animals are able to live. That said great job, 12 years is impressive, and veganism definitely can be healthy.

You shoild add some apple cider vinegar to your diet. But you bloating/ gassyness when vegan sounds like you have a gluten intolerance or were incorrectly preparing legumes.

Mushrooms are great, but they have very little protein (although it is a mainly complete Protein) and very little carbs or fat. It's largely irrelevant outside of being tasty, and having a lot of supplemental vitamins and minerals.

coolthingy the third Grey parrots eat only fruit, certainly one of the smartest birds. Comparing bird diets. and our own isn't particularly meaningful. certainly not fish.

I think your over simplifying, the vegan diet is about more than nutrition, its also an ethical and environmental stance. And you can be healthy as a vegan, as he says. So the goal to blackpilling isn't that the diet is dumb, its that a small adjustment to their diet can meet their goals with significant health improvements.

@ToniCroX Yes but there os a "black market"

I'm not pushing veganism, but any kind of processed fake meat is unhealthy, and having regularly switched between vegan and meat eating can confirm the hotdog or sausage is tbe 1 one thing that can't be replicated. I have never found a not gross one.

@markfinlay422 Interestimg fact about the innuit, they have a genetic mutation that nearly prohibits ketosis. It leads to high infant mortality rates, unfortunately, but allows more efficient glucogenisis. Being maybe the only purely carnivorous culture, this is quite interesting in regards to the health of staying in ketosis (vs intermittent fasting), imo.

@gogl0l386 I'd suggest doing some basic research around organic eggs and make up your mind on the industry as a whole, not trying to talk you out of veganism, but I have switched back and forth and, being lazy, I can feel the difference.
