It takes a lot longer than that to legally immigrate 11 years plus and still waiting on a waiting list. A license the system should be more like Japan where you have to have not only a sponsor and a job and of Corporations sponsor and guarantee your financial stability but also that you'll be required to speak and write the language on a high-level and that of course you have moral character that is good and no criminal record.

@robertbobbypelletreaujr2173 I thought we USED to have a sponsor system. I know I had to get a sponsor to bring my wife over from Asia before the turn of the century, because the US gov didn't think I had enough income to support her. But now she's been working on bringing her brother into the US since 2009. He's still on the waiting list for visas. My wife's aunts took 25 years to get a visa. By the time they arrived in US, they were old ladies. I keep joking that my brother in law should just fly to Mexico and come over the border illegally.
