As far as the non-rechargeable batteries go the Kirkland batteries though they are cheap will also destroy your devices because after about six months they start to leak. I've lost three flashlights to these Kirkland batteries.

I'd be curious to know how they do after 100 charge cycles. And then also how do they do after sitting on a shelf for a year how much charge is left in the batteries. I've had good results of the eneloop batteries but I've also had the Maha cells which have only lasted 20 or 30 charge cycles before losing a lot of capacity and they don't sit well on the Shelf.
