@CrossPhysiobyDidierHartmann You're fortunate. I screwed up in some ways, 22 years ago. I had a Japanese pen pal from Ibaraki in Osaka from 1986, until I met my wife in 1999. I only treated the relationship as a friend and to learn some Japanese. She was the sister of a friend of my high school buddy who moved there after the Vietnam war ended. He was stationed in Okinawa and that's how he came to know Japan. Returned there after seeing how shitting life was in California. That was the early 80s. In '86, he hooked me up with Natsumi. We wrote back and forth for 16 years. I should have taken the hints and moved then, but my perception of Japan was that it was one big concrete jungle of shoe box sized apartments and you can't have stereo. I was unwilling to give up my audiophile passion. I did not realize that other places like Ishikawa, existed, where you CAN have stereo. I have another friend there who has big subwoofers and he's popular in the neighborhood, seems everyone is an audiophile in Japan. Or at least that part of Japan.
Foolish me, I made my choices. Not that they were bad. I married a fantastic woman, much younger than me, but devoted and rational. But she is not Japanese, and that means we have a difficult path to Japan.
