Finished installation. When I ran the run file with Powershell, I got this: Windows .venv WARNING: Failed to find MSVC. a bunch of folder locations many lines worth Ending with TypeError: cannot unpack non-iterable NoneType object No idea what to do now.

I did some research and even asked ChatGPT about this error and it came back with a laundry list of installs.. you need MSVC and you also need ton install 3.1GB of Micrsoft Windows SDK just to run this! I don't need that kind of overhead, so I'll wait for a standalone executable to come out.

Given I cannot get the offline version to run, I tried the online portal, but it just results in 'page unresponsive' when I upload a voice sample to clone.

@Nanashiraz I Chat GPT the problem. Says I need not only MSVC, but Windows SDK at 3.1GB!! So this program is not for me. I have several other AI voice tools that don't need all that overhead to run. I'll wait til this is out as a standalone EXE file and try again then.

@TVOghostcos That sounds hopeful. So do you just enter a script in romaji and it works with that, or can it be entered in full kanji?

Why does this need Git to install first? I read a few articles on Git and it seems like it's for developers and has something to do with keeping track of code revisions. I'm wondering why that has anything to do with this Zonos program.

@adamius11 I did research and found out you need MSVC and MS development environment--in other words, the whole software program development environment just to run this. I tried installing all that stuff, but the development installer froze at 0% and hasn't made any progress in 20 hours. I think I'll wait for a standalone executable. The online version doesn't work either. I uploaded a sample audio and the website stopped responding and Brave offered to close it.

@adamius11 I run Mangio RVC, Ultimate Vocal Remover, NeuralNet and a few other AI in addition to Invoke-AI image generation all just fine on RTX3090. No need to install an entire development environment. I don't understand why Zonos is different.

I wonder if you can set up a shortcut that will run Powershell and load the program so I can be just one simple icon on the desktop and make it somewhat idiot proof?
