  2. Years ago I had a theory that the deserts of today used to be cities thousands of years ago. Those cities were highly Advanced and had a nuclear war of some sort. Now it's interesting that you mentioned Mars because recently there has been some discoveries that indicate the possibility of past Advanced civilizations on mars. But like ours, those civilizations probably had nuclear weapons or something similar and actually used them leaving Mars in the condition that it's in today. So if you want to know what the result of nuclear war on Earth would be just take a look at mars.

  3. Australia and New Zealand I have Partnerships in NATO and would likely also be targets. Even if they weren't targets any surviving military from any of the northern hemisphere countries would probably invade because the rest of the world would be pretty much uninhabitable so there'd be a new war just for land.

  4. It is my belief that if all nations launch all of their nuclear weapons on the same day, that it will likely destroy the atmosphere on the planet. At the very least firestorms will rage across several continents destroying everything. We don't know what the effects of that many atomic reactions going on simultaneously will have on the atmosphere itself but it's quite possible that the Earth will end up just like mars. Uninhabitable.
