  2. But wait a minute, I thought this was the off-grid garage. Why would the electricians be concerned about the kilowatt hour rating of the system if it's off grid?

  4.  @OffGridGarageAustralia  I only started building my solar power system last year, after 15 years of researching and waiting for the technology to evolve to a point where it was economically viable. So yes, I'm relatively new at solar. But my whole house is off grid now with 21kW of panels, 42kWh of battery and an 18kW inverter.

  5. If you're using bifacials you should paint the roof white underneath the panels.

  6.  @OffGridGarageAustralia  I never would have imagined using water from a dirty corrugated roof for drinking. You can use silicon paint (it doesn't peel off) and it actually makes a good water seal too. I use it on my roof. Makes the water running off much cleaner, too.
