  1. The nice thing about Japan especially rural Japan is that the property taxes amortized to zero on houses of 20 years or more in age. Unlike the rest of the west where even if your house is rotting and falling down it's worth more than it was when it was first built. Move to Japan and pay $120 of the property tax that you pay in a western country.
