I wish the federal government would make a law against property taxes. For those seniors who don't have any income but are being harassed by property tax collectors. Seriously it's a Fourth Amendment violation and it could result in the death of the homeowner especially in colder climates.

@chowwh308 how it works in Japan is house amortizes to zero value after 20 years and you pay only unimproved land value, which is cheap. In the US, you pay $6000 to $20,000 a year taxes on primary domicile. Which is why US has homeless explosion. Tax affects rent and is 40% or more of the rent people pay.
