  1. Way back in 1975 I flew to Florida from New York the return trip was in a thunderstorm and it was a horrible experience. People sitting next to me were praying and the entire crew were very tense. But obviously we made it. In more recent flying experience I've noticed that American Airlines Pilots tend to put the seat belt sign on a lot more often than Japanese airline pilot. I've flown Japan Airlines several times and they are less apt to turn on the fasten seatbelt sign.
