Well this comparison is between a pretty crappy beta machine. If it was a comparison with something like a Sony slh F 1000 you would see a clear advantage of the beta.

No matter how economical it is, gas is dangerous just go ask the people in the neighborhood and Indiana in 2011 when 80 homes had to be rebuilt because of the gas explosion in one house.

@ArdFarkable Electrical fires start more slowly. You have time to escape. When a house blows up because of a gas leak, you're dead, instantly. Just ask the people of Richmond Hill in Indianapolis. $4M worth of damage, over 80 homes destroyed. As much as there's planned obsolescence into incandescent light bulbs, in my experience they still far out last these new LED light bulbs.
