@GlennHeston Like everyone else I was, What?!! 700!! Then I read $700 was for immediate use. Critical needs. FEMA was cutting checks the next day of the fire. Not compensation total for what they just lost in the fire.

@GlennHeston It’s not the Govt fault there was a fire. I do know processing everyone into the govt system takes time. Did fema distribute critical funds for past wildfires? The State and Maui County is named in the lawsuits.🤦🏻‍♀️There’s multi millions donated. Just locally that very day kama’ainas were donating from all islands. The people drop off by personal boat, canoe, kayaks and planes. Food, clothing…etc . Survivors had to register with fema, their insurance companies, charities, govt agencies and whatever else. If they sit on the sidelines and not help themselves well they’ll going to have to wait longer for what you want. The main problem is we have a housing shortage. Angry families have chosen to live on the beach because they had to keep moving hotel to hotel. No stability. The hotel is also a private business. They have reservations. People need to work. The Campers want long term now but they don’t want to use any of the donated money. No they want the govt to pay for it. As if it’s owed to them. Didn’t know they were the “privileged.” They want the long term housing be where they want it to be. EXCUSE ME?!! Some people relocate to other islands for the time being. Some are with relatives and some are with host families. I wrote more but it was too long and I was getting mad like ⬇️ She had the nerve to say Oprah should match Jeff Bezo’s donation $100M.🤬 Thankless and ungrateful entitled b as she takes the money from Oprah. The Rock and her charity is giving adults $1200 mo until it runs out. Total $10M could be more if other people donate to their charity.
