  2.  @conniee.  I lived in LA in the 80s-90s. Mainstream media was asked to stop airing live chases because people were going outside to see if the car was heading towards their street. Some people cheering on the chase. Like Oj bronco chase. It was getting more dangerous, longer chase bc 15min of fame on tv and reckless. Tv helicopter staying out of police helicopters way. The only station that showed chase and was ktla. If it was morning. Not much in afternoon traffic , ktla is there. Msm showed clips of chase during News.
