Ultimately, the issue of Iraq's alleged possession of WMD and its cooperation with UN inspectors was one of the key factors that led to the 2003 invasion of Iraq by a coalition of countries, although subsequent investigations found no evidence of active WMD programs in Iraq at the time of the invasion. So in summary there’s no clear evidence that the US lied just so they go to war with Iraq.

Rumsfeld said in press release that the Pentagon can't track $2.3 trillion worth of spending due to antiquated accounting systems. Use some common sense - If the government wanted to steal money then they wouldn't publicly announce the $2.3 trillion worth in accounting errors and make people skeptical. Rumsfeld said in a speech at the Pentagon that the Department of Defense was unable to account for $2.3 trillion in transactions. The funds were not money physically lost or stolen; they were discrepancies in the accounting system. You’re using amateur arguments that were debunked nearly 23 years ago.
