  2. It turned into a disaster. We have the worst and most expensive rail services in Europe by some way. Most railway operators are foreign owned as are our utilities like water and electricity. They are run for profit for shareholders and executive fat cat bonusses and not for the people they are supposed to serve. I still argue that it was a criminal act by the conservatives to sell off what was not theirs to sell.

  3. Yes and the taxpayer still subsidises railtrack and we have the highest rail fares in europe.
