  1. I simply dont understand how and why the USA is at least 60 years behind other first-world countries in healthcare. Any politician who wants to protect and care for the mass of US citizens is labelled "a communist" by republicans. It beggars belief.

  2. The USA is happy to fund the military and NASA to the tune of trillions $ but wont or cant design and offer a fair and affordable national healthcare system. There are very very well designed and world class systems like in Canada and France that work very well and are available to all.

  3. Abdul Masaiev I agree.... It was just one example of monies going into agencies that many would consider a lower priority than basic human needs. I am a fan of NASA and I was tslking collective budgets and that was an example. The fact is, the US healthcare system is broken and serves the high end, not ordinary workers who are the majority.

  4. Albert Green you poor brainwashed fool. There are great hospitals and doctors all over the world. The US system is for those that can afford it.. Its not about making healthy people pay for the unhealthy... The idea behind a national health system is that the vast majority of people at some time in their lives will get sick. Thats a fact. The US system is a vast money making scheme for big pharma and insurance and only works for the well off and they pay through the nose for it. Take a look at other countries like France and Uk which is more open and fairer. You can still pay and go private if you want but you dont get ripped off if you arent in that earnings category.

  5. Albert Green ok buddy. You are clearly a very narrow minded xenohobe who doesnt accept any other country other than the USA can innovate or can in any way do anything better than the US. Well having lived and worked all over the world i can tell you that you are wrong. Also..i dont know what you mean by "people like me". You have no idea about me other than I know for a fact, that there are better societies and ways of looking after its citizens than in the USA. Just because a low income worker cant afford the same insurance as say, Jeff Bezos, doesnt make them a "parasite". These people work in hospitls, are cops, empty your bins, work in restaurants etc, they are the grass roots and lifeblood of most civilised developed countries yet you call them "parasites".

  6. Albert Green nope, wrong on several counts. Those "menial jobs" ...your term not mine....are occupied by people of all ages. I have lived in the UK and France and those countries are every bit as free as the USA and people can do well etc its just that their helathcare systems are better designed and employees and employers contribute to healthcare. As to your spurious point about military aid....go and learn some history as nobody in Europe gets foreign aid from the USA and in both Iraq wars the UK helped the USA as it did in Afganistahn.
