So if we dont need to worry about archeological records, artifacts or contemporary records and instead rely on hearsay and parchments written by anonymous authors decades later, this means we can justify almost any evidence-free myth and legend… like King Arthur, the sword in the stone, Camelot, dragons, you name it.

  3. I just want to remind smug theists that it is a totally false claim that « most historians agree jesus was real ». The claim that « the evidence for jesus is better than most historical figures » is preposterous and risible. Tutankamun and any other Pharoe, The Roman Emporers lime Julius Cesar, Henry VIII and dozens of other historical characters have actual records, in many cases their corpses, and mountains of other scientifically verifiable archeological artifacts that prove their existence. There is not one single shred of testable evidence or any contemporary record to corroborate the biblical claims that jesus existed.

  4. The Egyptian pharoes and latterly the Roman empire and their leaders have vast amounts of solid evidence backed by archeology and so on. To try to make some equivalence to biblical claims is disingenuous.
