@wolfiestreet6899 do these people understand how bad the optics are when they make a factually unaccurate slur against another politician? Btw… Savile was big buddies with Margaret Thatcher and Edwina Curry..then conservative health minister, made Savile the Director of Broadmoor hospital which included a house where he stayed, abused underage girls and based himself to abuse countless inmates as well. How do those optics grab you?

@wolfiestreet6899 i am not partisan either but why arent you saying the same thing about every other head of the CPS prior to 2008? The facts are that Savile was interviewed under caution and interviewed by police in 2009 based on 4 complaints and no further action was taken by the police and local prosecutor as none of the victims were prepared to support any police action, unfortunately. It was only after his death that the floodgates of victims came forward. Starmer could not have prosecuted with no victims prepared to testify.

The complainants against Savile declined to take it any further in 2009 so the police and the CPS were hamstrung. Thats how the criminal justice system works. Sorry if the factsmdont support your narrative.
