Basically this is like he was pulled over by the police for speeding, got fined and then claimed he was not fully familiar with the Highway Code or the speed limits and was not told by his “senior passengers” that he was speeding, therefore he broke the law “in good faith”.   7. Tory genius. Thatcher gave the “right to buy” to council tenants to win votes. They at a stroke removed affordable housing stock from the market that wasnt replaced. House prices went up and for all that followed it became all but impossible to get on the ownership ladder and harder to get a council house because there were less available.
