@sorendoerfler2522 ? How is occasionally speaking patwa 'building his persona' of a 'whole culture'. He's just speaking some patwa. He isnt acting like a Jamaican. Truthfully, you sound like you're racist because freaking out over someone speaking a little bit of patois just a bit silly really. I only ever see racist people take issue with this sort of thing

@Laura-sg6ss what a random comment? Do you always see racism in things? The point OP was making is you have white Jamaicans who speak patois so it isnt a thing that Chet speaks patwa.

@89ludeawakening1 nothing wrong with getting a tattoo. Loads of people get Chinese tattoos. Are you saying there is something wrong with that? And the few clips he posts online is not representative of his whole life. He is having fun. And there are videos of him speaking in his normal accent too. You seem to have a bias and I'm guessing didnt really grow up in a mixed social group. I grew up with Jamaicans and loads of white people use Jamaican. Same as asians like Mighty Crown etc. Get over it. I dont know why woke culture and being racist has become trendy post 2010 but is tedious as hell.

Or hes just speaking patois because that's what hes around. No need to psychoanalyse it. Everyone in the UK urban scene speaks patois to some degree. We never thought twice about it. Only in America do they overthink this type of stuff

This shouldn't even be a thing. This ish is so normal amongst the urban crowd. Only in an SJW world do people care about this. In UK we speak patois. Been that way for 30 years. Its only because social media gave SJWs a platform that anyone even knows of this cultural appropriation concept. Otherwise it wouldnt be known amongst the populace outside of academia

If this person actually hung out with black people atall theyd know we automatically speak the same as them because how else do you communicate with your peers. Chet's Jamaican girlfriend had no issues with him speaking patwa but trust the out of touch white guy to have an issue.

@MrBobbo18 You dont have to grow up in the culture to speak the language. I became part of Korean culture several years back and can speak basic Korean. Chet can speak as much patwa as he likes.
