I liked seeing this side of Bushra. I actually liked some of what she has to say here. Of course I disagree with her def of "anti-racism" as it is in practice and her belief white people dont exprience racism or lack or privilege. However this was very refreshing and we need more of this as a society. Pls do more amicable interviews like this over the harder topics. Like another commenter I'm curious on Bushra's take on how the grooming gang scandal was handled regarding putting the rapists first on account of their race what she makes of the 14 white musicians who were fired to make way for diversity hires during covid.

@johnkitching2248 I am unaware of the stats for underepresentation in unemployment for black people. I do know working class white boys are the poorest demographic. Regarding g black employment rates this might be due to poor education outcomes. Stats show Jamaicans have a high drop out rate and poorer academic outcome at the same schools compared to Africans and one potential factor is a lack of discipline and higher fatherlessness in Jamaican households compared to Africans. The lower employment rate would be worth comparing between the two demographics. Re the low income they arent paid less byt take jobs that pay less. The same arguement applied to the gender pay gap where women have a lower income overall due to working less hours than men. It has been shown some women are paid more than men in various positions. So black people may do worse off in jobs or take less academic or challenging jobs if they have done poorer at school. Thus poorer housing would also follow. They may also be choosing areas that cost more to live or spend their money on othwr stuff such as the women tend to pay out quite a bit on their hair whereas white women dont have this same expense. Hearing what some black women pay monthly for hair care products I believe this could also be a factor regarding how much income people are prepared to spend on housing vs other things. Re health stats during covid it was shown black people did worse as they had poorer health to begin with such as higher obesity rates and that they were less likely to follow up health issues with their provider.

@haza123b4 In on the anti-woke side but I'm with you re the def of "indigenous". I study language and etymology and native doesnt mean first natives. Both black and asian people are also native to UK. Some were born before many of the white folk here so who gets a day over our traditions?! An 80 year old black lady or some teen white kid who doesnt know he's born?
