How did his addiction effect the marriage? Just curious whether it did or whether she was just against porn.

@CurrentAssistant not sure how my comment elicited such a response in you. Maybe you should examine that. I dont think Im unique nor believe that other women think they are unique. I made a statement based on the OPs differing opinion to mine. I've not felt effected by porn and was speaking for myself but took into account OPs opinion and gave them an explanation for their position that maybe its because men are more sexually driven. Hope you understand my comment better now. I dont think anything about men. Im not a man. Im just aware their hormones and drives are diff to women and generally-speaking men supposedly think about sex a lot more than women due to their drive. No energy to argue over what was meant as a simple and straightforward comment so muting

In reponse to the first ten mins I feel these male AND female influencers are making things worse all round. Feminists are reacting and often times overreacting to mistreatment from men, then male influencers teach men to react a certain way in response to those women which in turn sets the feminists off even more. So it seems the men will become less happy because theyre pushing women even further away and thinking its all or mostly womens' fault and then feminists dont realise they helped create these male influencers that make things worse for them. Both sides just make things worse for their own side in the long run. Its the same with everything right now. Whether its the race debate, trans debate etc. We've stopped being civil and become polarised so of course things have gotten worse. We need to pull back to the center despite its very hard sometimes in the face of an extremist. But often times we're one of those extremists creating the problem bwing extraand rude. Irl we dont have this many arguements hence why society offline is more civil. We need to mirror that way of communicating online more if we can. My old social media posts are so much more innocent and civil its like a diff person. We are not the same people. Thats the restraint issue noone is talking about. Learning to not argue. We have taught ourselves the opposite and even prided ourselves on it.

@MsQ275 Im personally not blaming the wife for him having an addiction if he has one. Im curious if he actually did have an addiction. I think its extreme to think most men aee walking around with porn addictions if you havent had that experience. Just date them and see if porn creates a problem in the relationship. Watching porn doesnt mean someone has an addiction so Im just dubious if youre having this reaction if its not simply that you hate them watching porn atall. Because Im fairly old and been around as I worked in clubs so hooked up more than most people and I dont know a single one of my exes that had a porn "addiction".

Why do you think the vast majority of men around you have watched rape porn? What led you to this conclusion?

@Springheel01 thats true but obvious exceptions like Jamie Bulgar and also we see certain viral trends from social medis like incel murders and this new "fanta slap"-style trend where people are ripping womens' wigs off, with one woman being left with blood injuries. Anything can influence and give others ideas. Amd whilst it depends on the toxity of the person's brain to begin with we know the effect social media has had. So it is about moderation...like with anything. But its interesting and relevant to take into account stats although there can be other causal links they still hold weight.
