Kpop fans get mad easily. It really shouldnt have been that deep.

Its funny because these same types act incensed at B.Free for his few comments against BTS members yet they come in droves to harrass B.Free and cant see the hypocrisy and imbalance of their behaviour. The same for Oli. His accounts are FULL of awful comments not to mention the videos Youtubers make running him down. It's not like a few people he could handle. They're bullying him en-masse. They dont stop even when someone apologises. They cry over someone like Jonghyun committing suicide but treat someone like Oli as fodder to abuse to their own pleasure.

@vivit.8326 even when I've said I dislike an artist's singing, dancing or rapping etc, the onslaught was insane. I stopped going to the concerts and listening to the music for a bit just because I couldnt stand being around the fans. You cannot have an opinion with Kpop fans. One even said on one forum she was at a house party playing BTS and her friend said she didnt like them, said they were crap or something and the first girl said she shouldnt speak badly about them even behind closed doors as its disrespectful and hurtful to BTS even if BTS arent there to hear it. These guys are extreme and lack balance.

Same. But atleast it's in the right direction this time

@Courier_Eris yeah. I know there is only one race biologically. Socially "race" as we have colloquially chosen to call it exists. I know when I'm looking at someone with a haplogroup originally from Korea vs one from Phillipines.

@MisyeDiVre what fandom model? She likes an artist/s. She hasnt expressed any fanatical support for BTS. Oli did.

@vivit.8326 yeah. I just keep away from the Kpop comment sections and I havent gone to any of the club nights in years. Sadly Seoul Therapy have been pushing racist rhetoric about "CuLTuRaL ApPRopRiAtION". I dont feel to go to their events because of it as it means I am going to get crap for copying black people in some way. It's long.

This isnt a left thing. It's the woke.
1
Not really. Haplogroups and dna tests show a diff amongst diff racial groups.
1
@pancakegamer335 Socially "race" exists. Are you saying if you go to report a crime and police ask what race the person was to narrow down their search you wont say they were asian, black or white? Its surprising someone woke would act like race has no social bearing. Tell that to the Jews during Hitler's Germany. Haplogroups exists. Like anything there will be a graduation between haplogroups but any honest person can say someone is black, white or asian. Muting as I havent got time for chupidness.

@pancakegamer335 Asking if someone is male or female isnt sexist.
1
@pancakegamer335 I didnt mention sexism. So I'm confused why you mentioned it in your previous comment.
1
@pancakegamer335 nope. That's not what I'm arguing. I was responding to OP saying race doesnt exist. I didnt mention anything about transracial despite that is what the video is about. I just see people often say race doesnt exist and whilst I already know it doesnt exist scientifically haplogroups do which is why we can tell diff ethnic groups apart. Regarding those who get surgery based on race identity disorder I only know of Oli. Rachel Dolezial didnt claim to be black that I know of but I think her friends assumed and she didnt correct them possibly as they may have been racist towards her or excluded her. I dont think it should be an issue to get mono-lid surgery as long as it doesnt effect your eyesight. But I dont see the need to pretend you're Korean to do so. People should be able to dress/styel/talk etc how they want without needing to pretend they're a diff identity. This is why we have people transitioning sex. Because men are being told if they dress feminine they need to transition and vice versa. It's why there are black people being racist towards white and Asian people who copy them. People should just let people do what they want. The only time people need intervene is if the person is genuinely harming themselves.
1
@pancakegamer335 yep. That's pretty much my view also
1
@pancakegamer335 well, we all have our blind spots but the facts are noone can change their sex or ethnicity. Anyone can dress feminine/ masculine and anyone can be part of any culture. I hate woke people who racially attack others for partaking in other cultures. Oli may very well have had an identity issue because Kpop fans attack those who mimic Koreans calling them Korea boos and such, bit like wigga, and he prob felt he had to "change race" to be allowed to partake due to the racist ideology of cultural appropriation

I think he meant waygookin get surgery, and act Korean embracing the cultural norms and etiquettes etc and many would like to be Korean due to love of Korean and the culture/Kpop. Many Koreaboos like Oli living in Korea. But Oli has very little understanding of Korean culture. Mostly through a pop culture lens and his Hangugmal is terrible. He cant say the basics correctly. If you watch his videos speaking Korean you can see he just loves it like most Kpop fans do and hasnt invested much time learning.
1
@brek5 yeah. I think he was referring to people getting surgery in Korea. Not getting surgery to look Korean. But his wording was vague, maybe on purpose. As you know Koreans expect those living there to become like them and fit it. Anyone that knows South-East Asian culture knows they dont like people who stand out even within their own race. They expect you to assimilate and respect their culture. They hate many foreigners who dont do so. And then there are the Koreaboos who pick up certain surface-level culture like aegyo and laughing behind their hands like Koreans. They like the mannerisms of Koreans so try to imitate. Lots of people who live in Korea do learn about the country properly and immerse themselves such as people like Meghan Bowen/Moon and many others. Oli was only there for a year. If he lived there longer he would have felt very isolated unless he learnt more Korean. However I know gyopos there who cant speak Korean and just hang out in limited circles. Oli is just a typical Koreaboo. He doesnt have the will or energy to learn proper Korean and I dont think he is able to. Some people dont pick up languages well. He reminds me of Joey from Friends in that scene with Phoebe trying to teach him French. Oli has mixed two sentences together in one video in a way they dont make sense. He has has also learnt Tagalog and pronounced Tagalog phonetically instead of with a silent "g". I see nothing wrong with people learning a surface level of Korean. I can only speak basic level. That's ok. I dont live there. But he has made videos "teaching" these languages when he cant really speak them. But if anyone is serious about learning they're not gonna use Oli's videos.

Not really a stereotype. Most asians have a monolid and its unique to asians. Very few exceptions outside of asians have monolid.
