@22:00 the fact he says about we shouldnt make fun of so-called minority groups as if its ok to make fun of others. Im white and into black music thus black comedy. But I didnt particularlylike how a lot of black comedians on 'Get Up, Stand Up' took the piss out of white ppl. For some ppl there are some jokes that personally hit. It doesnt matter what you are or how many ppl like you there are. Being a so-called minority is meaningless as anyone's feelings can be hurt when made fun of. Why should those who exist in smaller numbers be more important? Theyre not. Its about comedy being subjective and truthfully, as someone else pointed out at this point its somewhat punching up when making certain jokes about transexuals. We are all the butt of jokes and no reason anyone should be exempt with that in mind.

Not watched the whole interview yet but am surprised by the way ppl are talking about Fry under Andrew Gold's latest post. I dont know what he did/said but as someone myself who was an sjw and woke up ppl need room to join the other side. Linehan did it and we are power in numbers. If we dont give them room to join us they will find their tribe elsewhere. Reminds me how some ppl treat "trans"people. Many will detransition. They need room to join us. Theyre victims of this ideology too. I held extreme left-wing views before because I truly believed them at the time. Then I read more and had more covnoes and changed my mind ppl changed their minds and must be allowed to do so.

Ok. Now i get some of the comments complaining. He is still a bit woke on the trans and free speech topic.There ate things ppl cant say without social repercussion and poss job loss. I cant talk freely at work or even socially as locally those ppl in shops are my customers. And Chapelle didnt mock kids with dysphoria.

@9:30 he obviously hasnt had anything important to say around someone woke and and been called a Nazi or racist unwarranted. My immigrant colleague wanted to speak about immigrants being put before British and how she felt it wasnt fair and our white colleague snapped her down. Making out its ppl wanting to say racist things isnt ehat ppl mean when they say they cant say anything. Ppl cant say reasonable things anymore. Like children arennt born trans just like they arent born theist. As a neo-atheist Stephen should see that comparison.

I think he means because The Left went mental it is causing an overaction from some on The Right. Because it is. That doesnt mean The Right is bad. The Right is better in general at this point in time. But I def see people on The Right making the same mistake people on The Left did. We need to call them out or we risk mirroring the bad elements of The Left instead of learning from their mistakes.

From a UK perspective The Radical Left are crrating a pushback but that pushback ia bringing its own issues just like the left-wing pushback did. There are etxremists on The Right aswell. I have been on the receiving end of them. I get hit from both sides. Ignoring The Radical Right would be a mistake. Its where The Left went wrong. We MUST recognise and call out our own.

Never realised he was gay until this interview and the comments. That shows how little identity meant to ppl before. Only really camp ppl gave themselves away. Otherwise the only time ppl mentioned being gay was to break prejudice back in the 2000s.
