It ironically comes from ys not having free speech laws. We are a reserved and polite ppl by nature but since social media we have adopted Americans forms of communication which I resent being influenced by and succumbing to. No offence intended but shows like Jerry Springer epitomise the problem. That show was an extreme culture shock to me. Even Ricki Lake the audience were vulgar on there. Brits werent like that before. Our old talk shows were pleasant.

@6:10 he speaks about 1million ppl "liking" Britain First's page on fbk as if it wasnt a problem then later thinking it was. Ppl have to remember there were ppl like me who "liked" the page to follow and contradict stuff we didnt agree with on there. I remember getting blocked for pointing out something negative in The Bible. Not every "like" is a like.

He is a guest on their show...It was clear to me as someone who myself was watching and trying to work out where the line is for free speech, as he made a great point about shift in attitudes, that Konstantin was trying to have a convo. Why he got passive-aggressive and shifted the tone of the convo as someone who is supposed to be against the shift of attitudes and polarization is a bit of a contradiction but whatever. I wish he would have let them work through it together rather than resort to going on the attack. How else is this issue resolved

There is def hateful speech. And hate speech exists as a concept in our government. USians swing too far towards liberalism when it comes to freedom of speech. You exercise it for the sake of it regardless of the effect it has on social cohesion as you see it as your right to wtf you like without realising its not actually a positive thing to abuse that freedom of speech. So wrapped up in your freedoms you dont see the damage you do to your own society as a result. Its why kids are disrespectful to police and police have to allow it. The whole system breaks down when ppl abuse freedom of speech for the sake of it
