  2.  @themadmattster9647  Yeah. I like the movies that make you think. Personally I didnt like Malcolm X. That movie left me with some hang ups as a kid. The racist parts about white people. He had a massive chip on his shoulder until he met white Muslims. Muhammad Ali was another one. Go check some of his quotes about mixed race relationships. He was quite the racist aswell.

  4.  @malo3708  Britain abolished slavery. Woke racists would cause an uproar if this was mentioned. I wasnt talking about Southern Americans and American slavery. But I dont think modern confederates are upset slavery was abolished. Especially as many are black.

  6. I'm pretty sure mine is because I have asthma and eczema so am more prone. I always ate Nutella as a child and my lips would swell but I ate it anyway. Fast forward a couple decades and I've been in hospital twice due to nut allergies.

  7.  @malo3708  I didnt say many black people were confederates. I said many confederates are black as I've seen them proudly waving their flag. But not worth splitting hairs. I dont really have any beliefs on confederates as not my area of interest. But yes, I imagine if they lost a war they would feel a way about it although those people are prob dead or too old to care. Not sure why people are currently angry about the abolition of slavery. Not sure what comment you're referring to. It seems you're responding to a comment I'm not a part of. Confused about what you thought I made up or what uproar I was trying to create. I said how Britain abolished slavery. That's factually true and not sure how you think I'm causing uproar. Have I missed something here. I feel you're reacting to something diff to what I'm talking about and you're getting angry about that and your reaction and comments dont connect to my comment much. If people are upset about movies about slavery then pls take it up with them. Not sure why you're taking it up with me when I'm not one of those people. You're anger is misdirected and comment out of sync with mine. muting as this convo is weird.b

  8.  @peterbelanger4094  it can be a nice escapism like books. You just have to pick good ones. The movies I watch dont pollute my mind. I like sci-fi. Sarach Connor Chronicles was a great spin off series and it wasnt toxic. It was brilliant. Much better than its sequel movies.

  9.  @Gengh13  I was a meat-eater for 25 years and I was born with eczema and have basically grown out of it now and I've been vegan 15 years with the odd bit of thrown away fish here and there. Vegans tend to eat nuts more but I couldnt due to my allergies.

  10.  @HNedel  my mum has asthma so it's likely hereditary. Also she smoked when pregnant and when I was growing up so that also doesnt help. But I was born with eczema. I was premature aswell so maybe another thing that added to my sensitivity. Aswell as we had a coal fire so that most likely added to it even more.

  11.  @HNedel  haha. Thanks. I have to carry an EpiPen around with me. They say that with each allergic reaction its stronger than the first. The second one was def more severe. Just got to be careful. :) As for my asthma that's super severe. I actually wear a mask at home because of my neighbours smoke really effecting me.

  12. I miss the days of movies where Dan Ackroyd blacked up and spoke in a Jamaican accent and noone batted a damn eyelid. Nowadays Eddie Murphy would prob get called out for mocking disabled people in the movie.

Take your intolerance elsewhere. You know you should put more energy into modern day slavery like such that is still being practiced in Africa. People like you disgust me. You hate Britain yet are the apparent apologist for the country ACTUALLY still practicing slavery. Hypocrite. muting

  15.  @gwyn111  same with blacking up. Little Britain, Chris Lilley's S.Mouse, Bo Selecta and Tropic Thunder. All much loved in 2008 and even early 2010s. Then 5 years later activists had them pegged as racist, despite the black actors in these shows/programs, so much so Boris Johnson and a swath of other MPs signed a petition to ban "blackface".

  18. The only spin off I enjoyed was Sarah Connor Chronicles which was a thousand times better than the sequel movies. Was gutted that was cut short.
