@the1gladiator2 also a bit insulting. I'm femen but somewhat slightly manly. I dont want people asking me what my gender is as it implies I look male. I get that it doesnt in this day and age where they're asking how do I see myself as opposed to my actual identity but it could still be taken that way.

@communityrags6048 but gender was used to refer to sex socially. I didnt hear this other definition of gender until maybe a 3 years ago. And if gender is only about the social aspect why do these people transition physically?

@communityrags6048 I'm not referring to people who dont become trans. It might make people realise they can never be the opposite sex. People have always presented socially diff. Effeminate gays and butch lesbians have always been a thing. It's only recently we made them feel they're the opposite sex for doing so and should transition.

@communityrags6048 its debatable whether gender and sex are diff. And that is part of the issue. People use gender to mean both sex and gender expression/stereotypes/roles Transexuals are not a recent thing. Theyve been around for decades. I'm not sure who told you its recent but that can be proven false with quick Google search. I dont agree that the choice is theirs to transition. There are children involved in this.
