@jenkem4464 boxing already has performance levels. However a man can pack a harder punch than a woman. And there were two blood tests previously done on Khelif that showed Khelif has XY chromosomes. Without rewatching Im almost positive Dawkins did say the two boxers were likely intersex. Just not in that wording but that they have certain developmental disorder. DSD. Play back the video. Plus Dawkins may be so used to looking at male and female physiques that he can tell the diff where some of us cant. Although to me Khelif looks like a man physically frame-wise. And I dont mean the muscles but its the whose stature. I go to the gym and am around female body builders and males look diff.

@jenkem4464 ranking by performance would mean women wouldnt get a look in as they wouldnt meet the mark in comparison to how many men would. Re boxing. Do you understand how much stronger men are compared to women. The strongest woman cannot compete with the strongest man.

 @JM-st1le well they currently test both chromosomes and testosterone. Khelif showed XY in two doff blood tests and had high testosterone that disqualified being able to fight in the womens' comp

@allowit328 sports can never be equally fair or it defies the point of competition. Its about balance. Just because sports cannot be about an equal starting point it doesnt mean we should go to the extreme and let men batter women.

@CaneBTC I understand them asking "are you transexual" incase it effecta how they need to be medically treated but even asking if theyre male or female could get a wrong answer if that person thinks theyre a woman but arent. But it should say their sex on their records. Of course ppl can lie and change their birth certificates now.

I read the article where they said they did two blood tests and the testosterone test. Wonder why they said it then suddenly walked it back. The fact they said it and its out there is enough

@jeremyrobinson9660 it was ready released that Khelif had to karyotype tests that showed he is XY aswell as the high testosterone levels where he cannot compere with women as a result. Plus Dawkins has an eye for certain things due to his feild of work. We know Khelif looks like a dude but there are outliers where some women look like men. Maybe Dawkins can tell from.the angle of the jaw. Men specifically have a diff jawline to women. They also have diff shaped eye sockets and palate shape.

@Expatred66 you cannot be dual sex. You can only be one or the other with a developmental sex disorder which he did address when said the two boxers were male but phenotypically female. Sex is based on chromosomes and skeletal structure, muscle and lung capacity, testosterone levels. Women have a wide pelvis. Men dont develop that. Ppl may have a DSD with their reproductive organs such as the penis and testes not forming or not dropping or ovaries that dont work. But the other factors above including things like eye socket shape, jawline, Adam's apple make someone a man.

Also I would say there prob isnt overlap when it comes to a certain jawline, Adam's apple, pelvis and arm lengths etc. Even AI knows when its a man as per that transsexual guy who was offended AI knew he was a man.

@normkeller2405 you misunderstood. Basically there was a movement in 2010 of atheism who argued against theists and those who were anti-science and those who supported fgm. Now many of those same liberal atheists support chopping up kids and being anti-science. I got caught up a bit in it and thought gender was a spectrum but now I dont. But many ppl are still stuck down the rabbit-hole

@Celestina0 when they have a certain level of testosterone, yes. And we do. Khelif is XY. Two blood tests confirmed this. Along with testosterone that is too high to compete with females. ie male testosterone output .

@allrequiredfields well this is why they do it by testing testosterone aswell as blood karytope for chromosomes to see of someone has a testosterone advantage. So thats as fair as can be without doing a more complex search of the person. If you watch Alex Gold's interview about Khelif it explains why test can only go so far otherwise it would include testing clitoris length or inside of the vagina to see if someone is really male or female.

@michelledavis2604 sex chromosomes do determine sex. You cannot be male without a Y chromosome. You cannot have testes that produce testosterone without a Y chromosome. Just because a man has a DSD like Khelif doesnt mean women can be men or men can be women. Unless you can link me to some other info
