Should be after 25 imo. Maybe later. Because your brain is still developing is prefrontal cortex which is related to decison-making and long-term consequence

90% of dysphoric ppl desist when left alone

Quite the assumption. Where are the homophobic comments?
1
Btw Andrew is gay
1
@johnl5316 who is a clinical gay psychologist? Andrew Doyle? He is an ex-teacher turned comedian and political commentator. Not sure which comments you feel are homophobic. I do see some on anti-woke posts but also see ones that arent homophobic that people would deem homophobic so it depends on the individual comment I guess.

How is protecting kids pointless?
1
@emgene3 but kids shouldnt be getting sex changes. Comparing them to intersex kids is comparing apples and oranges
1
Your prefrontal cortex related to decison-making and long-term consequence is still developing up until around 25 years of age

The mistake sane ppl make is leaving these professions because they cant handle the crazies. So then we're left with the crazies.
1
@emgene3 I got it from the most recent study I read. Why make up lies about someone rather than have good faith.
1
@emgene3 also youre talking about a totally diff statistic. I wasnt talking about ppl who have had sex changes.
1
@emgene3 if you type this into Google "A Follow-Up Study of Boys With Gender Identity Disorder" with Devita Singh,1 Susan J Bradley,2 and Kenneth J Zucker2,* and its the National Institute of Health link. It said 89% desist in their 20s. The findings were from 2022.

@emgene3 it keeps removing it so basically if you type this into Google "A Follow-Up Study of Boys With Gender Identity Disorder" its the National Institute of Health link.
1
@emgene3 I've tried 3x now to type the title, not the link, and it won't let me. It's a NIH link. National Health Institute. Type in key words we've used above.
1
@emgene3 Ive tried four times now. Just posting a test comment
1

You already have hormones when youre born. Taking cross-sex hormones disrupts that and puts your health and even life at risk
1
Those kids themselves said they were same-sex attracted
1
