@Tenchi707 they're prob in shock. The only thing I can liken it to is when your partner shows their true colours but your brain still passes them as that image you had of them so you still have those feelings for them even though you know thwyre not a nice person anymore your strength to treat them as such hasnt quite caught up because you cant switch how you view them so suddenly. These people raised this child for years. More time than what you would have spent with an ex so its even harder to change how you view and treat your own child when you've loved them your whole life. Your instinct has been to love and protect. Its hardwired. Even in this situation

@wellthisisinteresting4912 yeah. I find it hard to think a simple movie was the tripwire to make him this way. He didnt get carried away and just want to play make believe over one movie. He's been drawn in much earlier through repetitive exposure or as you say hardwired. But the fact Halloween was his fave movie says a lot. In the movie the killer (forgot his name) was not right since a child. Born psychopath. Without doing psychological tests it's hard to know if hardwired or if he gradually well-groomed into being a psychopath

@nanatnat9327 I was severely bullied and your tight that schools are crap with this. I was off school a lot and they blamed me instead of finding out why I was avoiding school. What I wonder is why some kids become bullies and why people like me stayed being victims for years. I'm a gobshite now due to social media and I've lost a lot of empathy due to social media but I would like to think I wouldnt physically harm someone no matter how polarised we've become as a society let alone as some form of Froday night entertainment or dare.

I know someone who just went down for child grooming, drugging and rape. Idiot filmed it on his phone. Hope he is getting g his just desserts in prison right now where he is serving a 16 year sentence.
