@AT-bq1kg but what did he say that was racist and how is that a prisonable offence?

@AT-bq1kg the fact half of those polled think 1 year 8 months isnt enough for a racist post ia terrifying. Because I know rhere are plenty activists racist about white ppl or call black ppl sell outs in worse terms who prob dont want that law applied to them.

@inthegutterstaringathestars to be fair lots of ppl call those at Palestine marches Hamas supporters when from speaking online with ppl on that side many dont agree woth those who defend what Hamas did and many are actually quite centrist. We keep misrepresenting the other side and dividing ourselves instead of attempting to bridge the gap with other centrists

@inthegutterstaringathestars It would have to be atleast half to call them that. Calling it a hate march because some ppl are holding those placards is like labelling Tommy's marches Nazi because of a few racists there. Lots of Muslims are normal and bridge the gap. Infact just yesterday I bought a book by Rakib Ehsan. If you dont know him go watch his interview on Triggernometry. Be is anti-woke, patriotic and based and has a background in social cohesion. Also I think Paul Thorpe or Baracka Amari interviews one Muslim guy, think it was Paul. And they were also based. Lots of Muslims are creating an issue but pushing them away as many black ppl have been doing with white ppl wont help. Find the moderates and join forces to keep this stuff at bay or we wont make it. Because we know how demonising the other as a whole has made white ppl feel. Thats if youre also white. Obviously do what you feel is right but if you demonise Muslims or Palestine supporters collectively you will only be being disingenuous and push them further that way plus lose right-wing support. Im a centrist as both sides annoy me. I voted Reform for context. But if you actually speak to Palestine supporters as I have there are many centrist ones who are utterly appalled by the anti-semitism and denial of Oct 7th attacks. So Im saying this knowing many are just centrists who want and end to the suffering, whether theyre misguided or not. But yes, many arw anti-semetic too. But we need to be honest. I unfollowed Paul Thorpe for misrepresmting the ppl at the marches. Same as I would unfriend ppl doing that about Tommy's marches.

@inthegutterstaringathestars Pushing normal Muslims away wont help like how many black ppl have been doing that with white ppl. Find the moderates and join forces to keep this stuff at bay or we wont make it. If you demonise ppl collectively its disingenuous and pushes them further that way plus loses right-wing support. @inthegutterstaringathestars youre wrong. My friends are normal. Maybe you should get out more

@inthegutterstaringathestars no. When I say normal. I mean lile the average person. My friend is like me. She has slept around a bit. More than I have. She does drugs. I dont. She isnt pious or overly conservative. Just regular. Where did I say getting out more would change what is normal?

@inthegutterstaringathestars those marches arent all made up of hate. Calli g them hate marches gives ppl rights to call Peter a riotor. Plenty ppl at Palestine marches are centrists who dont agree with extremism. Yes, some do support Hamas. Not all. Lets not stir the divide more with generalizations

@inthegutterstaringathestars ? You asked me how many would need to be on the side of Hamas before calling it a hate march. I dont know if half of the ppl are on Hamas side or not. Im not demonising ppl who dont collectively demonise others. By normal Muslim I mean the ones who act normal by our general standard. I dont mean what is the standard as a Muslim.

Calling them pro-Hamas marches is as dishonest as calling ppl on The Right who protest "riotors". Not everyone at Palestine marches supports Hamas. Dont assume or generalize the other side if you dont want it done to you.
