  1. One lesbian spoke to me at Kellie-Jay Keen's 'Let Women Speak' event and was saying she found the word "queer" rude because of it being an insult. Older gays hate it.

  2. ​ @Guynhistruck but what you dont understand is that a mere 5 years or so ago we called them transexual men. We didnt even know they called themselves transwomen. We would have only called them a woman if they were passing and if not passing we called them men. And to avoid akwardness we would prob use a neutral term. So at at work "customer" so "pls serve thos customer/this customer needs help". But we didnt lie about their sex. We never did that.

  3. Straight chick here and things didnt sit right with me at Gay Pride abot 2013ish aswell. They changed Calabash Tent to "People Of Colour" tent. I had never heard the term and thought it was some sort of VIP for black people only. Had a feel of racism about it
