Tbf I was watching the live and there were hooligans causing chaos. Pushing through the police with one yute saying "eff Palestine". Now I dont know why the police were there if it was for the sake of the roads and car routes. But I def saw a bunch barge through police. And in Tommy's speech he said Palestinian supporters arent welcome on June 1st. Now I appreciate Tommy for what he has done in addressing grooming gangs and radical Islam when police were taking backhanders to stay quiet about the abuse but there is nothing wrong with supporting Palestinians who are dying. There is nothing wrong with Palestinians wanting to wave their flags and be proud just like English want to wave theirs. This division from the extremists on both sides leaves me feeling lost in the middle and politically homeless. I cannot come to either march due to radical chanting for Hamas or for "get Muslims out" My friend is half English/half Palestinian. She is moderate and, shall we say, less pious than me. Im an English atheist. I dont care for any religion ruling our country. We're secular. But back to my friend, she is Muslim but wanted to leave Islam a few years back but she prob wouldnt be accepted at these events and thats not right. Much like detransitonors people are being left stuck in the middle unable to join the new side because of judgement and attacks from their side or because the new side has its own issues of bigotry. People who still wont accept Mayer claiming he is working for the other side. People claiming Tommy is a Jewish shill. You have far lefties shouting "gammon" scaring off non-white people from England from going to these events and then the far righties also scaring them off. We need unity. Im sick to death of radicals on all sides and wish there was somewhere I could go with my non-white friends where there is no judgement where we can all celebrate England together. All holding up our flags in unity. Just like I wish I could hold my flag at Notting Hill Carnival. Where there is noone screaming eff English or Muslims. Muslims that are born here and live here are going nowhere. We can stop letting illegals in but we cannot kick Muslims or Islam out. We can make sure Islam doesnt take over by remaining secular. This has been my TED talk. Thank you.
