@nanxx3975 intergenerational trauma refers to a genetic trauma. Not to you hearing the stories and feeling sad from hearing them from repetition. Intergenerational trauma is still an unproven theory to my understanding.

 @thomasmackelly7685 trauma relates to severe PTSD. Intergenenerational means genetic but its unproven. Obviously being told stuff will effect you. Thats not intergenerational trauma.

@hunterrific99 youre misusing the word trauma though. Trauma indicates an experience/s that creates an inability to function based on what you went through. Long term mental health issues of a severe kind. Ppl throw the word trauma around so loose these days
