  1. Good info Pete. Thanks. Add in El Nino which causes a warmer, dryer northern America and colder wetter southern states. Basically it means bigger forest fires, more tornadoes, generally a weather headline kind of summer/winter. This El Nino is record setting, will last a couple years. Buy that air filtration system and make sure your property is graded for flooding and fire. Specially you Pete - you are living smack dab in fire central. Like Trump said - all we have to do is rake the leaves in the forest. As a national trend everyone affected will have noticed home insurance becoming exorbitant if not impossible to get. As a political issue the only way to mitigate the risk is State funded mandatory insurance pools. Still expensive but you'll be able to insure your matchbook in the woods. Thats why Southern Nevada is perfect - for us wildfire is a casino and if you can get anything to burn in the desert it's going to get you high. We still eat So Cal's smoke though so it's not perfect, but it releases a whole new wave of So Cal refugees with money to buy houses.
