COVID was meant to be a benign lab virus to study how to combat viruses - it almost ended the global economy, it catalyzed deglobalization, sped up virtual transformation, became a tool of populist political self sacrifice and gave the government control of central bank policy that likely will bankrupt the west requiring a debt jubilee and re creation of the financial order through digital currency with central bank control all the way down to personal loans, social scoring and wealth engineering. How are your models accounting for the certainty that hundreds of labs, disgruntled technicians and every acned high school kid with a crush on a girl and a demented desire to impress her, can order a kit online for 500 dollars, order genetic sequences online for free from databanks of genetic sequencing and create Covid/Ebola; or a human gut bacteria that manufactures cobra venom with no oversight at all. It's so unimaginable there isn't even a discussion about it but I place the release of a world shattering genetic virus at near certainty in the next ten to twenty years. How do you even account for that? You have deep insight demographically but COVID is an example of how you need to adjust for the technological disruptions coming.
