  2.  @nicolemoore04  Most are not of the highest quality though let's be real. Baby Boy for instance was a decent film but I wouldn't call it Oscar worthy. Hustle & Flow got a couple of nominations though as I recall, they even won one. Training Day did OK too & earnt Denzel an Oscar even though action-thrillers are generally one of the genres the Academy are very snobby about like as they are with Horror cinema too. The Academy love their Dramas, therefore your urban dramas like Precious & If Beale Street Could Talk that get recognised.
