  2. There was a lack of awareness about how dangerous hitchhiking was back then. There was never a safe time to hitchhike though it was common back in the 60s & 70s, even into the 80s. If you watch a lot of these videos of murders & cold cases like I do then you'll see there are an awful lot of cases involving hitchhiking.

  5.  @skeletoncrew6500  The remake is almost shot for shot, its incomparable to an original which is a seminal piece of cinema. Romero's original created the zombie film as we recognise it today. The rules & ideas he layed down most of which still remain & are accepted as gospel within that subgenre. You're verging on sacrilege here.

You know Ghana had a penalty out of it which puts the odds massively in their favour as well as a red card & suspension going to Suarez. I think the punishment more than suited the action. Ghana never took the opportunity, too bad. If you're telling me that you'd just stand there & watch it pass into the net in the Quarter-Final of a World Cup that only comes around every four years & you get few shots at in your career then you're a fucking moron. It's one of the main reasons why find Superhero movies rubbish & pointless because they are contrived, there's zero genuine peril for characters in these movies, you know good will triumph in the end regardless of how dire the situation looks, then you've got characters who even when they supposedly die can have some ridiculous means of being revived whenever the writers feel like it as has been seen many times over. Waste of time. Kids stuff.

I'm entitled to comment that in my experiences the vast majority of cases I find the critical consensus agreeable. I wrote "consensus" for a reason because the RT scores are not based on just one opinion but rather the overall feedback from critics as a whole. They're also a lot more educated & experienced than most of the nobodies on YouTube who say they talk trash. And also from my experience, the ones who say the critics talk trash, when you explore deeper into the sort of films these people think are great then it starts to explain a lot.

  14.  @kaianderson2888  I have seen it & as a big fan of Henry Fonda's it was great to see him back in another Spaghetti Western after playing Frank in OUATITW. I do like My Name Is Nobody. There's some great set-pieces in it. The opening with the attempted hit on Fonda's character was great & very Leone-esque. Not all the comedy elements worked for me though, it got a little to slapstick for my taste at times but still a good movie on the whole. Two Lee Van Cleef Spaghetti Westerns I'd recommend are The Big Gundown & Day Of Anger if you haven't seen them. 👍

  20. The Texas Chainsaw Massacre could qualify as psychological horror. It's terror is very much based on mood, suggestion & feeling. The deranged sound mix, the mostly suggested violence, the grim atmosphere. It's a masterful horror film for its psychological manipulation.

  23. Watched Inside Out 2 tonight, was a very solid sequel to a fantastic original. Pixar don't produce hit after hit like they did in their early years anymore sadly but this was somewhat them getting back on form.

I'm really struggling with this sixth season, thr corny levels are off-the-charts & everything to do with Kreese has been silly since Season Three, not to mention Martin Kove is just not a good actor. I'm sure that'll trigger some fans but the quality of the show has seriously dropped.
